HelpDesk Remote Assistance Agreement
STAR LAB understands that minor computer issues occasionally occur in the retrieval of information from the platform that Star lab provides to its clients. Most of these problems however can be quickly resolved by an in house IT personnel of the client or through Star lab’s HelpDesk Remote support.
When availing of Star Lab’s Help Desk remote support, it is important that the client will agree first to the condition below by clicking the support link and follow the subsequent instructions.
Star Lab’s technician may request to remotely access the client’s computer. During a remote session, the HelpDesk technician may recommend installing or removing certain software or plug-ins that cause the problem or simply perform basic trouble shooting procedures to ensure the client’s computer is at an optimal level of compatibility. In so doing, Star Lab cannot be held liable for any hardware or software related issues that may transpire during or after a remote support session.
However, due to the nature and limitations of remote support, there maybe instances when Star Lab’s Help Desk remote support can not fully fix the problem. When this happens, an appropriate course of action will be recommended for the client to further undertake.

How to turn off your pop up blocker.
Microsoft Edge Browser
Block pop-ups in Microsoft Edge
To do this:
- In the new Microsoft Edge Edge logo, go to Settings and more Three-dot More icon > Settings Gear-shaped Settings icon > Site permissions.
2. Select Pop-ups and redirects.
3. Move the Block toggle to On.
If the popup blocker is not working after enabling, try these solutions:
Make sure Microsoft Edge is up to date: Select Settings and more Three-dot More icon > Settings Gear-shaped Settings icon > About Microsoft Edge Edge logo. If there is an update available, you can apply it from here.
Scan your device for malware: For more, see Stay protected with Windows Security.
Disable your extensions: See if an extension is getting in the way. Select Settings and more Three-dot More icon > Extensions, then select the switch to the right of each extension to disable it. If popups are being blocked after this, re-enable them one at a time to determine which one is causing the issue.
Block third-party cookies: To do this, select Settings and more Three-dot More icon > Settings Gear-shaped Settings icon > Site permissions > Cookies and site data. Then, ensure Block third-party cookies is set to On.

Chrome Browser
To turn off pop-up blockers on Google Chrome, follow these steps:
Open Google Chrome.
Click on the three dots at the top right corner of the window.
Choose Settings from the list.
Select Privacy and Security from the left side list.
Click on Site Settings.
Go to Pop-ups and redirects.
Toggle the switch to turn off pop-up blocker.
